1.  Introduction

Thank you for using TimeSheet Pro. This Privacy Policy explains how the TimeSheet Pro Chrome Extension ("the Extension") handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being fully transparent about our data practices.

By installing and using TimeSheet Pro, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2.  What Data We Collect

TimeSheet Pro collects only the data that you explicitly enter into the extension:

•      Work entry descriptions

•      Entity or client/project names

•      Unit counts (numeric values)

•      Entry timestamps (date and time of each saved entry)

•      Date picker selection (the currently viewed date)

•      Theme preference (light or dark mode)

 

This data is entered by you manually and is used solely to power the core functionality of the extension.

3.  How We Store Your Data

All data entered into TimeSheet Pro is stored exclusively using the Chrome browser's built-in storage API (chrome.storage.local). This means:

•      All data is stored locally on your device only.

•      Data never leaves your device or browser.

•      No data is uploaded to any server, cloud service, or external system.

•      No database, backend, or remote storage of any kind is used.

 

Your timesheet data is entirely under your control. It remains on your machine unless you explicitly export it to an Excel file.

4.  Data We Do Not Collect

TimeSheet Pro does NOT collect, access, transmit, or store any of the following:

•      Personal identification information (name, email, phone number, address)

•      Browser history or browsing activity

•      Cookies or tracking identifiers

•      Location data

•      Financial or payment information

•      Login credentials or passwords

•      Data from any website you visit

•      Analytics, usage statistics, or crash reports

 

We have no access to your data whatsoever. We cannot see, read, or retrieve anything you type or store in the extension.

5.  Permissions Used

TimeSheet Pro requests only the following Chrome permission:

 

storage  —  Used to save your timesheet entries, date preferences, and theme setting locally on your device across browser sessions.

 

No other permissions are requested. The extension does not use activeTab, tabs, scripting, webNavigation, or any network-access permissions.

6.  Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not share, sell, rent, trade, or transfer any of your data to any third party under any circumstances. There are no third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking services integrated into this extension.

The Excel export feature generates a .xlsx file using the SheetJS library (xlsx.js), which runs entirely within your browser. No data from the export is transmitted anywhere.

7.  Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained locally in Chrome's storage for as long as the extension is installed. You have full control over your data:

•      Delete individual entries using the delete (x) button within the extension.

•      Clear all extension data by uninstalling TimeSheet Pro from Chrome.

•      You can also clear the extension's storage via Chrome's site data settings.

 

Once deleted, data cannot be recovered by us as we have no access to it.

8.  Children’s Privacy

TimeSheet Pro is a professional productivity tool intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. Since we collect no personal data at all, this extension is inherently safe for all age groups.

9.  Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document will be revised. Continued use of the extension after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
